the online casino, MonkeyBet .com, has already made the bold move of
announcing that they plan on building a land based casino in Las Vegas which is
surely exciting news for everyone except...the people living in the apartment
complex where this casino is apparently being built. the online casino is caught
in a bit of a PR debacle as sources reveal that the 4600 Paradise Road address
is filed with an apartment complex still full of tenants who had no idea that
their current residence was soon to be demolished by the online casino with
designs on the land-based market.
the two hundred and sixty-nine condos that are on the plot of land under the
name of Chalet Vegas are now receiving much more attention then I am sure they
have for the duration of their existence. the online casino had its
representative give a cryptic and politically correct response to the question
of whether or not the tenant are being considered in this brash declaration of
new construction, "All I will say is that the Monkeybet owners purchased an
option to buy the property in question. Negotiations are ongoing, and of course involve the tenants when it gets to
that phase."
the real news of this deal seems to be less about the somewhat tacky kiss and
tell tactics and more about the fact that the online casino owners in question
are completely green to the Las Vegas environment only have experience in the UK
and in some minimal real-estate dealing in New York. And given the US' not
so friendly stance on online casinos the Las Vegas gaming board was not apt to
declare any such decision having already been made. That's right play dumb, it
always works. the online casino's rep responded with tart reply regarding the
legality of the business no matter what the united states government might feel
about it.
