When it comes to the shady relationships between the government and big business
it seems that the hypocrisy and greed just don't have any boundaries, and that
relationship continues to live up to that reputation when it comes to online
casinos as well. One of the United States most vocal opponent of the online
casino industry, Senator Bob Goodlatte, who is at the for front of pushing the
bill to ban online casino with in the United States and forbid American to play
at on online casinos that are house abroad, is receiving pats on the back from a
surprising corporate executive.
That's right none other than Brian Bieron of Ebay. This executive from the huge
internet company personally wrote a letter to the Senator congratulating him on
his effort to ban online casino in the states. He even gave pointers on how he
felt the ban would be most effective at restricting the American people's
freedom on the internet by enforcing prosecution of the players themselves.
Now what makes this cheerleading act peculiar is that Ebay's offshoot companies
is actively pursuing a relationships with oversees online casinos. they have
already succeeded in securing two exclusive deals with online casinos in Europe,
which let's face it, will surely turn out to be quite the cash cow for EBay. the
massive cash flow surrounding the online casino industry rivals any other and is
proving to be quite an investment for any of those involved. So, is their
support of the ban a red hearing to insure that they are the only U.S company
raking in a cut of all of this u-taxed mullah? Who's to say. But one thing is
for sure, the weirdness has only yet to begin.
