Video Game Leads to Childs Stabbing

It continues to boggle my mind how the FCC is constantly harping on issues such as foul language and suggestions of sexual acts on television and in the entertainment arena, given the fact that the only proven harm that any certain type of entertainment actually inflicts on youth is not about sex or the word 'crap' but in the violence that seems to be completely ignored, and often times celebrated, if being inflicted on those deemed as "bad guys."

It is these consistent images of violence that have been statistically linked to children become more violent themselves, which is chilling to think of when considering the horrific incident of a fatal stabbing of an eleven year old boy after a confrontation involving taunting over a video game this past month. Authorities insist that the assault was due to the taunting and not specifically the video game, that it could have occurred at potentially any function.

But the correlation between children playing first person games that involve them repeatedly killing people and the ease in which these children were able to blur that line with reality is undeniable. This is a issue of huge importance and sure be address with more seriousness then seeing a boob on television.
