Drugs Linked to Online Casino Use

A combination of two drugs commonly used to treat Parkinson's disease has been linked to those patients developing addictive and excessive gambling habits which were most often exercised on more accessible online casinos. When a study was conducted on the patients that were given the combination of meds, researchers found that on average the patients were racking up a gambling debt to an astounding amount of $112,000.

Not every one on the medication instantly became compulsive gamblers it was only enough of a percentage to spark interest with researchers about twelve out of one hundred and ninety-five. And it seems that gambling at online casino is not the only compulsive behavior that the combination of medication is link to. For example there were a select few who found that they became compulsive shoppers, or even hyper-sexual.

the doctors are beginning to suspect that people who are already predisposed to have obsessive behavior are more likely to suffer for gambling in this way on online casinos than if someone was not predisposed and still on the medication, "Obviously this doesn't happen to every patient, So we believe that there has to be some form of genetic susceptibility that is required for the patients to begin this behavior."
