You probably missed their acceptance speech, given the fact that they never
gave one, but if this particular Academy Award holder, had given one they would
have to thank the non-existent scruples of their publicity department. That's
right, Golden Palace has found some way to manipulate the system, much to the
chagrin of the Academy of Motion Picture Sciences, in order to acquire an Oscar
statuette.
Golden Palace Online Casino had been attempting to purchase an academy award
for quite some time now and was having a unsuccessfully time at it due to
the Academy's strict legal restraints against any statuettes given after the
year 1951 to be sold in any form. the online casino of course found a way to get
around this road block and was able to find an academy award winner who would be
willing to lease their Oscar, which was a loop hole that the online casino was
able to weasel through.
the award is being "leased" from an Academy Award Winner from the year 1960
named Morris Stoloff, who won the award after writing the score for the film
"Song Without End". What make this scheme a bit more pathetic is that the
"lease" is for the ridiculous span of time of nine hundred and ninety-nine
years. Let's just hope that this online casino never actually has real
aspirations of producing a film that could win them a real Oscar, because I have
a strong feeling they will be blacklisted form the Academy for approximately the
same length of time, if no longer.
