Bodog Produces Reality TV

Betting online on who will win on shows like Dancing with the Stars and survivor have become pretty much the norm on online casinos, but never before has an online casino actually created a reality show of its own. Well, that is exactly what Bodog online casino is doing. With the immense success of the World Series of Poker, which has had amazing ratings every time it has aired on ESPN, it is hard to deny that the World Series of Poker has a lot in common with a reality show.

Using the a similar format of being completely unscripted and being able to let the audience watch all of the action almost at the exact same time as it is happening, Bodog will begin its effort to produce its very own poker  inspired reality show. the show will feature forty different players, twenty of which will be actual registered Bodog online casino players that will play in a poker tournament for a chance to win $50,000 each week and by the end of the season they will be competing for the grand prize of  $500,000.

Currently the show is set to begin taping for its first season at the online casino's headquarters in Costa Rica during March. the structure of the show right now is that of six two hour episodes which will air every Sunday starting on April 15th this year. maybe tax day will insight people to seek some more creative means of income. Calvin Ayre, the founder and CEO of Bodog will host the show and seems to have a clear vision for what he wants it to be, “We are on a mission to find the next poker star and eager to showcase the play hard aspects of the Bodog online casino lifestyle. Poker and television combined with Bodog-style entertainment will make for one heck of a show, and our next step into the world of reality TV”.
