New Xbox Changes Face of Video Gaming
the video game industry is booming in the United States, raking in over
twelve billion dollars in retail sales in the US alone. So it is no surprise
that Microsoft is pouring exorbitant amounts of time and money into designing
their most advanced video gaming console to date, the Xbox 360. When Microsoft
launched the original Xbox it did not quite bring the hype and power to assume
Playstation2's overwhelming presence in over 90 million American homes. But
after an intensive collaboration with some of the video gaming industry's most
talented designers and programmers the Xbox is taking hold of the number one
coveted spot in the video gaming world.
the graphics and enhanced sense of realism are not the only things that
Microsoft has given a turbo face-lift to, the actual facade of the unit itself
is now much more sleek and desirable. the original Xbox was a barely concealed
P.C. with gracefulness off a couple of cinderblocks piled on top of one another.
But now the newer design of the Xbox 360 is superior in aesthetics as well as
technology, each unit is compatible with detachable style face plates that
coordinate with several different home-decor schemes.
Of coarse the real draw of this piece of equipment is the raw power it is
capable of dealing out with 512 megabytes of RAM which several times greater
than any of its competition at this time. Even all of the video games that are
designed for it at this point are no where near to utilizing all of the power of
the system. At this time it is speculated that it is only having to use roughly
twenty to twenty-five percent of its full capacity. the majority of that
power is being use for the intensely more realistic graphics that sets this type
of video gaming apart from the rest.
