Lord of the Rings Campaign
Phase 1, Scene 2
Leading to the First Battle of Flatlandius.

Call to Arms

the Story
Tarnius, the Red Wizard, sent a furfoot/greenie (free people are met by a hobbit, dark forces a goblin) messenger to meet you - regardless if you have the scrolls.  It seems the plump hobbit/goblin may have been about to enter the cooking pot.  Unfortunately in the land between you and Gimmy Undertook is a band of Urak-Hai.
the Urak-Hai are leaderless and seem unwilling to cross over the bridge.  As you approach the oversized Orcs sound a horn for support.  You must cross the waters quickly. It is not a problem for you or your superiors to attack this group.
the little courier watches the battle with an expected inquisitiveness.
*Urak-Hai/Dark Force players – this is a renegade band of Urak-Hai.

Overview
Players will be separated into partners and each player will take turns playing the Urak-Hai force while the other enters the board with his or her forces.  the battle will last for just 6 turns.  Players start 15+” from the bridge.  Players with 50% or more cavalry start 25+” from the bridge.

Tactics of Non-player
the Urak-Hai are leaderless, but will fight with the best tactics available while charging 3 to 6” per turn.  the specific formation is the decision of the opposing player.  the Urak-Hai will use 3 to 6” of movement toward the enemy without allowing the enemy to circle around them.  Urak-Hai starts within 6” of the bridge.  For some reason the Urak-Hai will not step foot on the bridge.  the Urak-Hai are also too aggressive to use their shields to fight defensively (special shield rule in rule book).
