This is my first 20mm American Airborne I have ever painted.  I have 9 more left to finish the squad.  I normally like to paint one figure completely before I assembly line the rest of the squad.  I only do this if I have never painted that type of figure before.  This allows me to see what the finished product will look like.  I used epoxy to hold the figure to a small fender washer base.  Also a small amount of putty was applied so the base of the figure would not be visible.
